Project Starry

PROJECT PROFILE

The Starry Emergency Children's Shelter in Round Rock received a "Dream Room Makeover" from Project Suite Pea. The bedroom and bathroom were transformed into a tropical island paradise with the help of fresh paint, new bedding, towels, artwork, stuffed animals, fun accessories, and custom window treatments.

The dramatic decor change inspires a feeling of both relaxation and tranquility. Children staying in the room can't help but feeling as though they have been transported to a faraway island, with beautiful sights and new beginnings.

***Because of legality reasons, the kids in these homes cannot be photographed or recorded.

Project suite pea has successfully completed our first project for the Starry Emergency Children's Shelter but there is still more to do. Please watch our interview with the house father, Keith Spears. In the video he referred to the rooms being "institutional" and would like to make the house feel more like a home. With the help of you and Project Suite Pea we can make that possible. We posted pictures of the rooms that need our help next. Help us help the Starry Emergency Children's Shelter by making a donation of $20 that will go toward purchasing new bedding (which they are in great need of), paint and accessories for the room to make it feel like a home and less like an institution. These kids have been through enough. Help us make a difference.
