Project Starry - Phase II
PROJECT PROFILE
Project Suite Pea with our team of volunteers: Tracy R., Zee D., Leslie M., Rachel R. and Jayden H. who completed Phase 2 of Starry Emergency Children's Shelter. Phase 2 included two rooms, a bathroom and two hallways. We had the chance to see one of the little boys who is staying in the room see the room completed. We revealed the room to him on that Saturday after we were done. His name is Nickademous but they call him Nick for short. He is 5 and is there with his 8 year old sister Maya. He had a grin from ear to ear. For an hour after we showed him his room, he stayed in there and read one of the books we put on the dresser. Seeing his reaction makes it that much more rewarding for us to do what we do. Thank you to all of you who participated on Friday and Saturday at the shelter.
